Madibe Consulting was founded in 2019, but its roots go back to the Y2K era — and its future is being trained right now, in our academy.
The Y2K years
Before Madibe existed, its founder was deep in the unglamorous work that makes security possible: programming, data cleansing, and building secure data warehouses while the world worried about the millennium bug. Security, learned as a data discipline first.
2019 — Founding
Madibe Consulting is founded on a simple conviction: South African organisations deserve a security partner that listens first, explains in plain language, and stays for the implementation.
The partnerships
Madibe earns the Check Point partnership — and their Rookie of the Year award — followed by a OneTrust partnership that anchors our privacy and POPIA practice.
The academy
What began as training a few young people grows into something bigger: more than 300 previously unemployed South Africans trained toward cybersecurity careers.
Today
Three offices — Johannesburg, Cape Town and the KZN South Coast — ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certification, and a client base that mostly arrives by referral.

Plain language
If we cannot explain a risk in a sentence your board understands, we do not understand it well enough yet. Jargon is where accountability goes to hide.
