The human layer.

Security is decided by people, not just products. We are the people — watching, advising and defending South African organisations, in plain language, since 2019.

More tools than ever. More alerts than ever. Fewer people who know what they mean.

Your stack has a firewall layer, an endpoint layer, a cloud layer. Each one came with a dashboard, and each dashboard came with alerts nobody has time to read.

The layer that decides whether any of it works is human: the analyst who recognises the anomaly, the responder who moves in minutes, the advisor who turns risk into a decision your board can act on.

That layer is the hardest one to hire in South Africa — and it is the one we provide. It is also the one we build: we train our own.

Six layers of defence, around what matters.

The industry complains about a skills shortage. We’ve been fixing it since 2019.

Madibe has trained more than 300 young South Africans — most previously unemployed — into cybersecurity careers. Some of them now watch over our clients’ networks at 3am.

For our clients, this is not a feel-good footnote. It means the analysts defending you were trained on our methods, in our environment, to our standard — and it means your security partner is building the country’s capability, not just renting it out.

The Madibe Method.

01

Listen

We start with your business, not our catalogue. What you protect, what keeps you up at night, what has been tried before.

02

Map

We build an honest picture of your environment and exposure — evidence, not assumption.

03

Layer

We design defences in layers around what matters most, using what you already own wherever possible.

04

Operate

We run it with you — monitoring, responding, reporting in language your leadership can act on.

05

Transfer

We build your people up as we go. Dependency is not a business model we respect.

Our approach in full →

A national retailer came to us with eleven security tools and no idea which ones worked.

We mapped the estate, retired four products they were paying for and not using, tuned the rest, and put our analysts behind the alerts. Within a quarter: triage time down from days to under an hour, and a security budget that shrank while coverage grew.

Engagement · retail · anonymisedMore engagements →

The questions everyone asks first.

No — we make them stronger. Most engagements run alongside an internal team: we bring the 24/7 monitoring, specialist depth and senior judgement; they keep the context only insiders have. Skills transfer is a stage of our method, not a favour.

An assessment can usually start within two weeks. Managed services onboard in about two weeks after scoping — we map your environment, tune detections to your normal, and agree escalation paths before we go live.

No. Our sweet spot is organisations that need enterprise-grade security without enterprise bureaucracy — typically mid-sized companies, though our services scale in both directions.

We are certified partners of Check Point and OneTrust — partnerships we earned, not bought. But we recommend on merit, work in mixed environments daily, and retiring unused tools is one of the most common things we do.

Assessments are fixed-scope and fixed-price. Managed services are a predictable monthly fee based on the size of your environment. You will have a number before you commit to anything — no discovery-call theatre.

No ticket queues. A person replies within one business day.
